We call this the RaceV3 as it is light and powerful and now with even more upgrades: upgraded internal configuration, upgraded high power BMS, new handle, new graphics and full marine grade stainless steel 316 exoskeleton / casing.
Power
This is a Sur Ron Battery 72v 42Ah Race V3 25Kw capable of peak 25kW power (360a peak discharge for 51 seconds until cut off on mosfet temp protection).
15kW continuous at 200A discharge run for 4 minutes and 16 second continuous load until cut off on mosfet temp protection.
Going up and down the throttle (off road riding) will allow bursts of up to 25Kw (400A) although 21Kw is the maximum recommended.
We upgraded this very popular battery to handle more power. More Nickle sheet (lower resistance and heat). Bigger more powerful hybrid BMS giving 80 Amps more,. A new stronger lifting stapes. New stunning graphics.
Designed to run the: ASI BAC4000, ASI BAC8000, EBMX X-9000, KO Controller, Nuclar Controller (and any 72v capable controller) up to DC line 180A and 400 Amps Peak 20KW (peak) Phase (depending on riding style: 540-600PhA).
Please make sure your controller is set to a power rating that will not damage your motor. The battery is the fuel tank and it is the controller that controls how much fuel (Power) it takes and gives to the motor.
These power packs are designed for ultimate power supply and are 57.5% bigger watts hours (3024Kwh) compared to the standard battery (1920Kwh) and able to give out 3 times the power (discharge -amps).
Exoskeleton / Casing
We have upgraded the casing to marine grade 316 stainless steel, so absolutely no rust issues here! Super tough and powder coated inside and out.
Connectors
The main battery to controller connectors we use are the same type as used by Sur Ron to keep everything compatible. This allows you to swap your standard battery back should you wish.
QS8 connector available on request free of charge.
Fitting
The battery uses two sets of discharge cables to enable the power to be fed In Parallel increasing the electrical flow, reducing resistance and reducing harmful heat. It shares the power delivery and takes the strain away from the original loom. These must be connected in a specific order (simple instructions supplied).
For those using a Torp Controller, Torp do not like direct power to the controller via your second cable. You can either not use the additional power cable we supply (we do not like to remove these as often buyers transfer batteries to another bike) or, if you are worried about your Torp warranty, you can request one of our 2 into 1 convertors in the checkout notes.Details of the adapter can be found here:/product/two-into-one-converter-qs8-supra-d6-talaria-oem-any-combination-available/

Connecting to Bike
When connecting the battery to the bike and to avoid a spark, turn the red trip switch on the bike to off. Connect the older original power cable and then turn the red trip to on. Then connect the new power leads. Removing the battery has no special order.
Battery Charging
First time charging is VERY important. Always connect the charger to the battery with the charger powered up at the mains first. This will stop a Connection Spark. The battery needs a Balance Charge on first charge. Please charge for 12 hours first time. Always charge your battery in a safe place and never unsupervised.
