Key Features of Cobra Motor Paints
Cobra Motor paints are acrylic-based, but when diluted and airbrushed, they behave like lacquers, providing high resistance, excellent coverage, and smooth flow. Their self-leveling properties make them easy to use with both airbrush and brush.
Unlike other car modelling paints, they are non-toxic, reducing exposure to harmful substances in your hobbyonly the lacquering phase remains toxic. Another major advantage is their high yield: because they require dilution, one bottle can be used for four or more models, outperforming other brands.
Application Tips
Dilution: 30 % to 60 %, using A.MIG-2260/2664 Cobra Motor Acrylic Thinner or A.MIG-2000 Acrylic Thinner. For brush application, they can be used undiluted or thinned by adding a small amount of water.
Handling: Hold the model from the inside to avoid touching the surface, as fingerprints may cause imperfections in the lacquer. Use gloves free of talcum powder and dirt.
Recommended air pressure: 1.5 bar / 22 psi
Drying time (at 20 C): 20 minutes (to the touch)
Full curing time: 24 hours
