The Dia-Compe 883 Nippon Caliper Brake was one of the most sought after brakes in the BMX freestyle world in the 80’s and 90’s an is a must have for anyone looking to do a retro BMX build. The 883 actually uses the same caliper but no longer says Nippon now that it is made in Taiwan instead of Japan. These must be used with the “Potts Mod” or setup the freestyle way where the cable is ran from the bottom. Convenient for any old school build that you want to keep period correct.
