Sur Ron Battery 72v 40Ah Medium High Power 15Kw
Designed to run with an after market controller like the ASI BAC4000, Torp TC500 or KO Nano or any medium power controller that can utilise the extra RPM from the higher voltage. This creates more top speed and if you are using a bigger rear sprocket you can turn the extra RPM into torque. Expect top speeds of around 70mph (example is a 12 stone rider using an ASI BAC4000, on OEM tyres and a 54T sprocket).
This battery will give you a genuine fast bike that will give heaps of range and fun. Perfect for trail riding when you want a fast and usable light bike.
Power
These batteries are designed to go straight into a standard battery compartment with a small battery lid spacer that we provide. Power should be set at 200A DC (15Kw) and 500 Phase.
Exoskeleton / Casing
We have upgraded the casing to marine grade 316 stainless steel, so absolutely no rust issues here! Super tough and powder coated inside and out.
Connectors
The main battery to controller connectors we use are the same type as used by Sur Ron to keep everything compatible. This allows you to swap your standard battery back should you wish.
QS8 connector available on request free of charge.

Connecting To Bike
When connecting the battery to the bike and to avoid a spark, turn the red trip switch on the bike to off. Connect the older original power cable and then turn the red trip to on. Then connect the new power leads. Removing the battery has no special order.
Battery Charging
First time charging is VERY important. Always connect the charger to the battery with the charger powered up at the mains first. This will stop a Connection Spark. The battery needs a Balance Charge on first charge. Please charge for 12 hours first time. Always charge your battery in a safe place and never unsupervised.
Charger NOT Included
This Battery will not work with an original standard Sur Ron Controller
